We start this tour at the Paiko Lagoon Wildlife Sanctuary which is the ideal place to observe native wetland bird species. We continue around the stunning southeastern volcanic shoreline towards the world famous Hanauma Bay and the Kahauloa tuff cone. We will stop and see Halona Cove where you have the chance to see green sea turtles (Honu) and the majestic Humpback Whales in the crystal clear waters.
If you're a fan of the Adam Sandler film '50 First Dates' you'll recognize the lighthouse at Makapu’u lookout, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of offshore islands. Then we will carry on to the spot where Magnum P.I was filmed, you will stop for a walk on Oahu’s longest sandy beach and enjoy the aquamarine waters of Waimanalo Bay where tropical fish and corals abound. Our next stop, Enchanted Lake Bird Sanctuary, is one of the premier birdwatching locations on Oahu where several species of rare Hawaiian birds can be observed.
Then we travel to the ancient Hawaiian Temple, Ulupou Heiau, to see one of Oahu’s best preserved archaeological sites and to learn about many important Polynesian plants. At the world renowned Pali Lookout, described by Mark Twain as one of the most beautiful views on Earth, you will see the turquoise waters of Kaneohe Bay and the jagged, 2000 foot vertical cliffs of the majestic Ko'olau volcano
