PADI Scuba Certifications.
The Open Water
Basic Scuba Certification is a 3 day course.
First day consists on basic training in the shop and then a skills practicum at the beach. Plan on 5 hours.
Second and third days each consist of 2 open water dives. Plan on 5 to 6 hours total on each day.
Finally, there are 4 quizzes and a final exam to complete. They may be taken either the same day as your open water dives or on a fourth day. Plan on 2 hours to complete all the tests.
What to know
Price includes gear (fins, wetsuit, weights, BCD, regulator, mask)
You must purchase your own books. They are available at the Dive shop. You won't need them for the first day. However they are essential tools for learning the material needed to pass the quizzes and final exam.
Please wear a swimsuit and sunscreen on all 3 days.
Complimentary shuttle service is available from Waikiki hotels. Make sure you tell us where you are staying.
Do not fly within 12 hours after Scuba diving.
Please select the first of the 3 days on the calendar. When you are at the Dive Shop schedule the subsequent days with them directly.
